Northwest Arkansas has many things to see and do, and we’re sure you will find it as fun as we do.
Since we’re at the lake with winding roads through the hills, a mile seems like much longer out here. We keep that in mind when we’re preparing for a lake weekend and try to get any snacks, beverages, and meal items ahead of time so we can spend time at the lake instead of shopping. Having said that, here are a few places if you need to make a run:
Groceries:
- Short Stop - Garfield, AR (7 miles): Gas, snacks, small selection of cooked food items, some grocery items, and if you like ice cream cones, you don’t want to miss an opportunity to get a giant cone. And when I say giant, I mean GIANT! Choose wisely.
- Dollar General - Garfield, AR (8 miles): Snacks, grocery items, toiletry items, and some lake gear.
- Walmart Market - Pea Ridge, AR (16 miles): Groceries and essentials.
- Harps Food Store - Seligman, MO (13 miles): Groceries and essentials.
Around Beaver Lake and By Boat:
- Lost Bridge Village Marina (2 miles): Check out their website if you are interested in renting a boat, boat slip, or just need to grab some quick lake gear.
- Ventris Trails End Resort & Restaurant (8 miles by car or you can get there by boat)
- Starky’s Marina (on the Eureka side): A popular place to fuel up, grab a snack, or check out the marina store.
- Castle Cove – Steven Ray Crumpler Castle: Popular party cove for hanging out.
- Rocky Branch Marina – Ugly’s Grill & Bar: Popular Lake dining spot.
- Hooked on Fishing – Guide Services: Popular Fishing guide (Office: (479) 263-7023
Rogers:
- Ivan’s Old Town Meat Shop: If you are planning on using the BBQ grill, you should definitely check out Ivan’s. We love the selection and quality.
- The Rail – A Pizza Company: Fun little restaurant/bar downtown to grab a beer and a pie.
- Yeyo’s Mezcaleria Y Taqueria: Casual dining with a patio.
- Ozark Brewing Company: They have my favorite Arkansas beer and a fun indoor/outdoor area and typically a food truck out front.
- Onyx Coffee Lab: If you need a pick-me-up and a chill place to take a break.
Bentonville:
- Farmer’s Market Bentonville Square (24 miles): Head to the Bentonville Square Saturday morning from 7:30 am to 1 pm (April-October) for fresh flowers, produce, handmade crafts, and more.
- Crystal Bridges: Explore the trails (not just the museum).
- Ozark Mountain Bagel on the square: Great for breakfast.
- The First Seat Pub & Grill: Perfect for lunch or dinner.
- 8th Street Market: Food trucks, indoor dining, and Bike Rack Brewing.
- Thaden Field House: Watch planes take off and land, and walk the trails to Bentonville Brewing Company for a pint.
- Sushi House: A great stop on the way back to the lake.
- Flea Markets: Browse for vinyl records.
